About The Frame Standard

Practical engineering judgment for modular frames.

The Frame Standard is an independent technical publication for people designing aluminum-extrusion frames, guards, carts, fixtures, test stands, and machine structures.

01

Why it exists

Modular framing makes physical construction fast. It does not automatically make the structural decisions correct. We help readers expose unclear loads, weak joints, excessive movement, unstable bases, and avoidable assembly problems before those assumptions become purchased material.

02

Who writes it

Material is written and reviewed by an experienced modular-framing and industrial-equipment practitioner. The publication uses an editorial identity so the work can be judged on its technical reasoning rather than a personality-driven brand.

03

Who it serves

Our primary readers are engineers, machine builders, integrators, industrial buyers, research labs, and small OEM teams that need a useful answer before they commit to detailed design or procurement.

Editorial standard

Every resource should help a reader make a better design decision.

Vendor-neutral

We may link to manufacturer data or tools when they are useful evidence, but we explain principles in a way that transfers across compatible framing systems.

Assumptions stated

We distinguish preliminary screening from project-specific engineering and identify where real loads, boundary conditions, safety requirements, or testing must replace general guidance.

Reviewed and dated

Cornerstone resources show publication dates and are revised when technical guidance, referenced standards, or material facts change.

Corrections welcomed

If you find an error or an important missing condition, email info@theframestandard.net. Substantive corrections will be incorporated and the reviewed date updated.

Scope and limits

The Frame Standard focuses on preliminary configuration, load paths, profile orientation, deflection, connection demand, racking control, stability, interfaces, assembly, and BOM consistency. Our material does not certify a design or replace guarding validation, code compliance, a formal risk assessment, testing, or professional engineering where required.
